Classmates, I hope this letter finds everyone doing well and enjoying the beginning of the summer season! The Class of 1999 Reunion Committee has been hard at work over the past several months planning our upcoming 25th Class Reunion set for November 8th – 10th. Please make sure you visit our website at www.citadel1999.com to register, pay, and update your contact information. We have a great weekend planned and it will start off on Friday night at 5pm with a 99 Happy Hour at a TBD location and then at 7pm we will head over to the annual Reunion Jamboree which is sponsored by the Stray Dog Society in which each participating class is offered its own tent at The Bus Shed between Meeting and King Street. There will be unlimited food and drinks with live music all included for the cost of $150 per person. The Committee encourages each of you to join us there and it is sure to be a good time. For Saturday, we’ll have a tent behind the Visitor’s side of Johnson-Hagood Stadium and will be serving BBQ with all the fixings. There will also be an open bar, two 60” TVs showing other college football games and live music. Included in the price mentioned below is a great SWAG bag that includes a great hat, golf shirt nice hat for the graduate along with a commemorative tumbler, gift for your spouse, bottle opener, two cups, two koozies to enjoy the day’s festivities. Kickoff is set for 2pm. Please note: Football Tickets are included in the price mentioned below and you must have a ticket to enter the tailgate area and to “march on” the field prior to kickoff. We must receive your payment for the weekend by September 1 st to get an accurate headcount for the caterer, swag, and tickets. Please do not show up and expect to participate without paying. For our 25 th reunion, we have also set out to raise $150,000 towards our Class of 1999 Scholarship Fund. If you have not already made your contribution and strongly consider joining the $1999 society, please do so before our reunion weekend. We also have a special option to commemorate our 25 th Reunion as our very own classmate, Arch Watkins, who has gone from a Naval Pilot to owner of a distillery in Maryland, Old Line Spirits, has bottled a whiskey just for us! The information will be on the order form.
