10-Year Reunion

November 6-7, 2009

Archived Reunion Schedule and Letter

Classmates,
Just five short years ago, we joined together as the "knobs" of the reunion classes to celebrate our 5th year reunion. To a man, we could not believe how quickly time passed to bring us to that point and a good time was had by all. Now, as we close in on our 10th year reunion weekend, the planning committee is happy to send along the following information so you can plan to attend what is sure to be a weekend to remember.

The Committee considered at length the idea of a Friday night gathering for the entire class, but after much deliberation it was decided that the class would participate in the 2009 Reunion Jamboree which will be held on Friday night starting at 7pm. This is an event sponsored by the Stray Dog Society in which each participating class is offered its own tent at the Bus Shed on Ann Street between King and Meeting Streets downtown. There will be unlimited food and drinks with live music all included for the cost of $75.00 per person. While that price may appear steep, it's much less than you would spend per person for a nice dinner and an evening on the town. The Committee encourages each of you to join us there and it is sure to be a good time. You can find out more information about the Jamboree at www.citadelstraydog.com. You can pay for your tickets through the attached registration form and pick them up at the front door on Friday night.

There will also be a happy hour for those who were Guards Friday afternoon at O'Malleys from 4:30 until 7pm. Furthermore, our classmate Richard Tuorto has invited us to join him at his establishment, O'Brions Pub and Grille, located on James Island at 520 Folly Road (Publix Shopping Center) and in Mt Pleasant at 361 N. Shelmore. There will be great specials all weekend for anyone sporting The Citadel ring.

For Saturday, we'll have a tent behind the Visitor's side of Johnson–Hagood Stadium and Easterby's Catering will be providing their signature barbeque and fixings. There will also be a beer truck (filled to capacity) and non–alcoholic drinks provided. Included in the price mentioned below is a very nice golf shirt for the graduate along with two commemorative cups and two koozies to enjoy the day's festivities. Kickoff is 3pm and we will be playing the hated rival, Wofford (Beat Wofford, Beat Wofford, Beat the HELL out of Wofford). This game will be televised on Sports South. Please note: football tickets are NOT included in the price mentioned below and you must have a ticket to "march on" the field prior to kickoff.
